Pygora goats are a loveable mixture of Angora and Pygmy goats.  They have the gentle temperament of the Angora goat with the playfulness and smaller hardy body of the Pygmy goat.  The fine beautiful Pygora fleece, known as mohair, grows in a variety of unique colors into three delicate but distinctive types of mohair used to spin elite yarns and create crafts.

Pygoras have minimal needs making them an easy animal to nurture.  Pygoras require a fenced enclosure, shelter from the elements, good nutrition, clean water, hoof care, twice a year shearing, deworming, and one annual shot to inhibit overeating and tetanus.  Pygoras are browsing animals that prefer brush and shrubs and are renowned for clearing overgrown land rather than competing with sheep and cattle for grassy pastures.

Our amazingly congenial fleece-bearing Pygoras produce delicately soft and attractive fleece in a variety of colors.  Allow us to formally introduce each member of our family and learn more about their registered colors, fleece types and heritages.  The “Gents” page shows off our dapper sires.  The “Ladies” page profiles our chic does.  Keep an eye out on our Goat’s For Sale webpage, because they go fast.  Lately, there have been many inquiries regarding our Pygoras, as more folks learn about them.  We are the only formal Pygora breeder in the Southeastern United States.  Thank you for visiting our Cenote Springs website!
